From the Owners
I was inspired to become a carpenter by my grandfather at an early age. I followed him around his wood shop sharpening pencils and sweeping up saw dust. Occasionally Grandpa would let me sand a board or hammer a nail and my passion for carpentry grew. After high school I took a job with a small remodeling company in Baltimore, MD where I worked for a few years until I landed a job as a union carpenter. In 2005 my family and I relocated to south Jersey where I accepted a position as Area Manager at a large Millwork company.
After 13 years of working in a manufacturing setting I was yearning to get back to something more "hands on". I met Ernie through a mutual friend and realized we had shared interests in our work as well as in our personal lives. We started off doing small side projects together before finally deciding to start our own business, (EZ - Ernie & Zach) Does It Flooring.
Since then it's been full steam ahead, building the business under the assumption that doing quality work at affordable prices would lead to success. Ernie and I treat each new project as if it were our own home and have built a loyal client base because of it.
